Wakefield District City of Sanctuary run a small food bank on Wednesdays and Fridays of each week, from 1:00pm – 3:00pm, from our base at St. Michaels Church:


St Catherine’s runs a range of free emergency food provision to help those people in Wakefield who are struggling to make ends meet and to feed themselves and their families. Operating Monday to Friday from 11am – 1pm providing food parcels for individuals and families in need.

Local Teams and Clubs to Join


Ossett Albion JFC are a Chartered Standard Grassroots club based in Ossett, West Yorkshire.  They cater for boys and girls aged 5 to 16 years.


Ossett Town Junior Football Club is a volunteer football club providing football development opportunities for boys, girls and women from ages 5 - 17:


West Yorkshire Theatre Dance Centre - Trainee dancers enter the school from age 18 months right up to 80 years and beyond and everyone is welcome! Our team are exceptionally proud to offer dance classes for all ages and abilities in Ballet, Tap, Modern-Jazz (including freestyle, lyrical and contemporary), Theatre Class, Acrobatics, Street Dance, Drama, Singing Lessons and Musical Theatre.


Junior Jets Athletics - The Junior Jets is the under 11 section of Wakefield Harriers, for children between 8 and 10 years old.
