We are delighted to share that from January 2027, Flushdyke Junior and Infant School will offer Spanish as our Modern Foreign Language.

This makes us the only primary school in Ossett and Horbury to offer Spanish.

To celebrate, we will be holding a special launch day in January 2027 for all our KS2 children. The day will be an immersive introduction to the Spanish language, culture and country.

We have made this decision because Spanish is growing rapidly in primary schools nationally, and this year more students in UK secondary schools chose Spanish for GCSE than French.

Learning Spanish will give our children fantastic skills and opportunities for the future, it is now the international language of business and growth.

Pronto compartiremos más detalles sobre nuestro Día del Español - ¡Vamos!
